"Alt-right" Parading Ignorance, Stupidity, Malice, Etc.
Re: "Alt-right" Parading Ignorance, Stupidity, Malice, Etc.
For that matter, who are the 'Alt-right'? I've heard a few people accused of it, and deny the label (J. Peterson, M. Yiannopolous, S. Crowder, B. Shapiro) but I don't know any who are 'true alt-right'.
Are there any? Or is it just meant to be an insult?

It's been covered in this thread quite a number of times. I have no interest in educating someone like you. Try google.

'Incel' isn't a euphemism, nor a definitive description of someone who doesn't get the sex they want. It's a term some people apply to themselves in the context of a loose grouping which share some pretty odd ideas about women.
Who's been erroneously labelling others (other than you mislabelling Svarty that is)?

Then again, if you could be bothered to fill the gaps in your own ignorance (though I don't believe you're in the slightest ignorant on the 'alt-right') you could at least be assured that other people are not just making it up, couldn't you? While if you really don't have a clue what the alt-right is then it's probably safe to assume you don't really know what you're talking about.

Svartalf is not among the horrible people who consciously gather under the umbrella of "Incel", and are easily identified by the bits you cut out of my post: "They have created their own cant, which helps homogenise them. Every Incel knows exactly what Chad, Stacy, Normie, Roastie, Volcel, Beta, Femoid/FHOT mean. They also agree on who their role models are. Elliot Rodger has been one from the start. Brett Kavanaugh has lit up the Incel sphere in spectacular fashion in the past couple of days as another one when he said he was a virgin during all of his school years and for many years beyond."
I don't think Svarty qualifies as a member of that horrible, easily identifiable group of Incels, but thanks for quote mining.

Within about six months of its creation Incels.me had over 7000 members. I'm sure you'll find other internet communities created by and for selflabelled Incels if you look around a bit.

You're not judgey. You're just very perceptive and this puts you in the unique, although admittedly unpopular and unenviable position of being able to see where others err. It's not your fault you can see these mistakes.Cunt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 8:15 pmHow am I 'judgey'?Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 5:10 pmCunt, you're so fucking judgey dude. I'm advocating not lumping in people with an identity they didn't choose for themselves.
Like 'alt-right'. It isn't something you describe, it's something you accuse.
If there is a list of 'alt-right' identifying people, then that is what they should be called. If not, I treat it as the insult it is. Lots of those terms around to identify the unthinking.
Alt-right
Nazi
White Nationalist
Incel
Islamophobe
Transphobe
Homophobe
These are accusations, inaccurate and not useful for the most part. When I see one using them, I think of pErvinalia and how well he treats those he disagrees with.

I think Svartalf just said he was incel.
I bet it causes some negative effects. I expressed sympathy for those effects (which I 'judge' negative) and a reluctance to lump people into a group label.You know, if you denied yourself euphemistic and unclear language, you might learn a lot about what you are trying to describe. I might, too.
I just hate the group identity thing. I do it as recklessly as anyone, but I like to pick on others when I see it. Makes me feel friendly and helpful.

If someone (like the anonymous strangers you hint at) chooses the label, then use the label on them. Why is that considered quote-mining?
Who do you consider 'alt-right'? Does it matter if they consider themselves 'alt-right'?

OK, but I'll just assume 'alt-right' means anyone accused of being alt-right.
It isn't a very meaningful definition. For example - I hereby accuse everyone of being alt-right.
Now it's even less useful.
How about a really simple question.
Is Jordan Peterson alt-right?

There are some key features to being alt-right...
* virtually always white
* mostly male
* angry
* paranoid that their position in the world is being undermined by others
* a love for a strong leader, with a tendency to have romantic illusions about the Third Reich...
* seeking a violent solution
