Arrests for drugs offences are commonplace - including one guy that had a roach stuck on the sole of his shoe, another with Solpadeine tablets (over the counter in the UK but contain codeine which can get you 5 years in Dubai!) You can be arrested for kissing in public, wearing a bathing costume that is considered too revealing, having sex (even behind doors) with someone that you are not married to...
