The government have backed down from one of their more controversial, if not hugely discussed in pubs sort of topic by withdrawing the policy of selling off the nation's publicly owned forests after a pretty universal cry of protest. Given several of them are areas I walk around here I am relieved. God knows what would have happened to them! Here's a link:
