I actually don't blame the school. The guy said he had a hard time with an "addiction to killing." If this guy went on a rampage, the first thing everyone would do would be to point the finger at the school and say, "you knew about this, but did nothing."
He should get a psych eval. If he just sort of "worked through" an "addiction to killing" - I don't think he's gotten enough treatment. If he can present a clean bill of mental health to the school, then so be it.
