Bush has mostly kept out of the limelight since leaving office, but he spoke Tuesday as part of the University of Texas at Tyler's Distinguished Lecture Series. He touted his new book, "Decision Points," due out next month.
Which book will be worse, W's or Snooki's?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I thank Dubya for one thing. He didn't die in office and promote der Fuehrer to President.

He doesn't seem to have high expectations:
the article wrote:"This will come as a shock to some people in our country who didn't think I could read a book, much less write one," he quipped.
He does seem to have a sense of humor, at least.

This line is actually pretty funny: "Ten days out of the presidency, there I was with a plastic bag in my hand, picking up that which I had been dodging for eight years." Image

On the one hand, I feel that former president Bush should be serving prison time as a war criminal. On the other hand, I think he's too stupid to really know what he was doing. And he is likable, and has a sense of humor. At least he doesn't radiate pure unadulterated evil like Cheney. Also, Bush seems to have the good sense to remain out of the limelight for he most part.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

For what war crime, exactly? (forgive me. whenever this assertion is made, I ask the same question - wondering what crimes are being referred to).

And you're always given the answer, but you just don't like it :hehe:

Anyway, I don't hate Bush. I kinda feel sorry for him, actually :(

Actually, the answer is not given. People bandy the term 'war crime" about, and then hem and haw with a lot of "oh, come ons!" and "Iraq!" type stuff, but it's a specific questions, seeking a specific answer: what war crime?

Examples of war crimes are "murder," or "genocide", or "perfidy." Or, massacres like Lt. Calley in Vietnam (for which Lyndon Johnson was not considered responsible). There are others, but those are some of the biggies.

I generally find that the phrase "bush is a war criminal" is mostly used as punctuation mark to really ram home that someone really thinks he sucks.

If he actually was a war criminal, it would be quite strange that you didn't hate him, as well as, perhaps, feel sorry for him.

But, again, you used the term war crime, which isn't dependent on one's hatred or sympathy. It's alright if you don't want to answer it. I just like to know what people think he did was actually a war crime. Was it that you think the Iraq war was wrong - Bush called the shots to get us in - and so it's a war crime? Or, is it something more than that?

Which is worse? Bush's quote, or Harry Reid taking personal credit for preventing a worldwide depression.... http://www.breitbart.tv/reid-but-for-me ... epression/

LOL....politicians....it takes a certain kind of self-aggrandizement and delusional personality to think such things...
