And did they ever really get their just desserts? No! The viking age just faded away, and the current governments in Scandinavia are little more than their direct descendants. Allies didn't find out about the extent of the holocaust until they liberated extermination camps. WWII wasn't a reaction to the holocaust. Before they found out, the allies didn't give a fuck about the Jews.

Not true. The Allies decided that the best way to end the Holocaust was to end the war, and the Nazis. Jewish officials in England and the US made sure that the situation didn't get glossed over.
