Tapes obtained by CNN of interrogations of a group of U.S. servicemen charged with the unprovoked killings of Afghan civilians describe gruesome scenes of cold-blooded murder carried out under the influence of illegal drugs.
Your tax dollars at work.

Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

I think I posted something similar already in the mosque thread, but I can't be bothered to look for it now. American soldiers were collecting body parts like fingers for trophies.
Seems to me this is the sort of thing we should be outraged about, not the the building of a community center.

I'll bloody be outraged about what I want to be outraged about.
Or, if you want to play that game Mai, why are we outraged about that at all? In places like Africa babies are raped and slaughtered by soldiers on a regular base. Makes collecting body parts pretty tame by comparison.

How many points does each Afghan go for?
Oh wait, let me guess - you're pissed at all of America over this. As if it's a
policy instead of a small group of soliders getting out of hand.

Indeed - we are trying these guys for their crimes...it's not like they got away scot free.

I have no doubt that there are "atrocities" on both sides there. Nothing new about that. You get "grunts" with almost average IQs, give them guns, and let them loose. If they're not supervised properly they'll do stupid shit every time, at least in my experience.

Soldiers being competitive about how many kills they have. Fuck me theres something new and unheard of

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
