I've been told mine was significantly less healthy than the N.Korean one appears to be. There was lots of cleaning to do the next day.

Shit! Where did you get the picture of me demonstrating correct safety procedures to my chemistry class? :dono:

My Higher teacher showed us how to get jelly baby's to scream when you burn them, instead of showing us safety procedures. What a guy

I can't remember if I'm honest, it didn't come up in the exam which is a shame.

All I can remembers is the jelly baby being place into a solution in a test tube, then the solution was heated by a Bunsen burner. As the jelly baby burned, it created a high pitch noise that sounds like someone screaming. The fumes smelled a lot like candy floss :?

We also did an experiment where we cut the bottom off of a plastic 2l bottle, sealed the top then, with the bottle upside down, poured fairy liquid in. Methane was then bubble through the fairy liquid, creating large bubbles that would flow up and out of the bottle, which we would catch on a heat mat. You then ignite the methane trapped in one bubble and the whole lot burns in under a second; the flame sometimes reached 6ft. It was probably the best experiment I've ever done, despite setting fire to some Christmas decorations :pardon:

:( Now I just want to hear jelly babies scream. Probably just as well that you don't remember the details. I can't get jelly babies (or chemicals) over here, anyway.
