It's true, I heard this story of a US sub captain who tried to fire off a nuke and start WWIII. Ended up with a mutiny on the sub, gun fire, the lot.......it was in that documentary, Crimson Tide.

Doumentary... right. I humbly submit that the testing we go through would make us less crazy than the average... So, if we wanna start out with a baseline of say,

"Those crazy H. sapiens sapiens..." or similar... OK. Just sayin'

Aye, I expect you are right. Thinking about it, a nuclear sub captain, experienced at being submerged for months at a time, would be a good candidate for a manned Mars mission.
