It's not racism, I tell you. It's about the true spirit of America, which happens to be conservative, white, and regressive evangelical Christian. Don't call it racism!
Megyn Kelly [former Fox News blonde] has unraveled with an unhinged rant after the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to end protected status for hundreds of thousands of Haitian and Syrian migrants.

In a major win for the Trump administration and its hardline immigration policies on Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to overturn lower court orders that had blocked the administration from stripping some 350,000 Haitians and 6,100 Syrians of their Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

“Go home! Get out! We know our country is better than yours. That’s because we filled it with our work ethic, culture, and values,” the conservative commentator, 55, said on the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.

“You being here only dilutes it for us, for those who built it, and live it. And half of you people, more than half of you, won’t assimilate. We don’t want you,” an enraged Kelly went on.

“We don’t care if you’re offended. Get out. Go home. Go back to f--king Haiti,” Kelly said before adding: “Sorry.”

...

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, in her dissent, said on Thursday that Trump’s remarks about Haitian immigrants are “so repellent and racially inflected that the majority declines to put them in print.”

“The statements fairly shout,” she wrote, “in their racial undertones and overtones alike, that race entered into the president’s resolve to remove Haitians from this country.”

Knowing Americans as I do I've never doubted that racism is prevalent in a large percentage of the population. Nor do I hold any illusions regarding what Trump and his cult followers mean by 'Make America Great Again.' That doesn't make it any less dismaying to see them succeeding, and being so happy about it.

She's not actually angry. She has a history of championing the cause of white nationalism. Never bothered much with dog-whistling, she's out front about it. To cite just a few examples (paraphrased, but accurate): 'Santa Claus is white, certainly not black!' 'Getting upset about blackface is just silly.' 'How dare that guy sing in Spanish at the Superbowl halftime show. This is America, where we speak English!'

Tens of millions of Fox viewers think the millions of illegal aliens bring in fentanyl. They do not even have access or need for data, but the feds released info on the fentanyl. It shows that the loads came inside vehicles. Mostly by Americans driving across the border. I have now reminded 88 people that this is how it is. A few hundred other views of my post still are not convinced or are MAGA.

Maria Bartiromo, faithful Trump propagandist at Fox 'News', went a step too far when she informed the White House regarding internal Fox 'News' editorial decisions and got her lying arse booted out.

Trumpers are addicts too man, Christ, many must be.
But it’s like everything else with these guys: they hate it publicly while living neck deep in it (eg bailouts, ss, food assistance lol).

There may be some dolts who still claim that the right is more concerned with freedom of speech than the left but I think many of them have simply dropped the issue because they never genuinely cared about it in the first place (see Cnut). Meanwhile Dear Leader has arbitrarily banned three 'Enemies of the People' from the White House. Yeah, the US Constitution doesn't give him that privilege but he's never been concerned with such trivial barriers to his greed, fragile narcissism, and desperate lust for power.

'When presidents ban journalists from the White House, the First Amendment is not the only constitutional right at stake'
The president is going after the press again.

On Sept. 19, 2026, journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico were denied access to the White House after President Donald Trump revoked their credentials, citing “their constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS!” On social media, Trump posted, “Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President.”

This is not Trump’s first attempt at banning journalists from the White House. During his first term, he sought to ban CNN’s Jim Acosta by revoking his credentials following a contentious news conference about the 2018 midterm elections.

...

White House Correspondents’ Association President Jacqui Heinrich said on X, “Today’s action revoking access for journalists from CNN, POLITICO, and MSNOW violates the First Amendment.”

Even George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, who staunchly supports Republicans and frequently criticizes the press, said on X that the ban “would be an assault on long-honored principles of a free press.”

As Turley and many others have argued over the weekend, Trump’s ban is almost certainly unconstitutional under the First Amendment, which states that “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” Media law professor Frank LoMonte argued in 2018, “The First Amendment guarantees all Americans freedom to speak and publish without government interference.”

But they may be missing a crucial point. In fact, there’s more than one constitutional right involved in such a case. The judge who restored Acosta’s press pass in 2018 primarily based his ruling on the reporter’s Fifth Amendment rights to due process, not on the First Amendment.

And in my view as a constitutional law professor, it is less clear whether the press has a constitutional right of access to the White House even though past presidents have honored and respected the press’s access to the executive branch.

...

There are a number of Supreme Court decisions that could be key in the current journalists’ lawsuit, which was filed on Sept. 21, 2026.

Among them is Mathews v. Eldridge from 1976, in which the Supreme Court stated that due process is flexible depending on the extent of the liberty or property interest at stake. But in general, the justices said, due process requires the government to provide notice to the individual and an opportunity for the individual to present their case before the deprivation occurs.

In Sherrill v. Knight from 1977, the court ruled that the denial of a press pass implicated a First Amendment liberty interest. That interest, the court wrote, “undoubtedly qualifies as liberty which may not be denied without due process of law under the fifth amendment.”

This nuance – the First and Fifth Amendment working in tandem – is what most commentators and critics are missing in their response to the recent ban of CNN, MS NOW and Politico. In fact, these outlets collectively lead with their claim that the Trump administration violated their Fifth Amendment right to due process in their lawsuit to block Trump’s ban.

“Even if attending a White House event is not a constitutionally guaranteed right, that doesn’t mean the government is free to take it away as punishment,” LoMonte argued in 2018.

Based on public reporting, it is clear that the Trump administration did not provide CNN, MS NOW or Politico with clear written notice stating the reasons for the revocation of their press passes. It certainly did not provide the outlets with an opportunity to rebut Trump’s unsupported claim that they report “FICTION and LIES.”

The white folks are mostly conservative about things they have and might bectaken away. So they resist all change. They don't much care about cultural stuff, just ignoring all other cultures. Except on a menu. Ethnic stuff allowed.

Well, as I think you yourself have pointed out before - while the Right are indeed passionate about freedom of speech, that passion is somewhat truncated and only extends to a fervent belief that such a right is their exclusive preserve.

The right wing scumosphere knows how to play the game. Russian bots on Musk's shithole site ready to assist.
For the past month, Texas state Rep. James Talarico and Attorney General Ken Paxton had been competing on roughly equal footing in public attention. The two candidates in what is perhaps the country’s marquee Senate race were being searched for at about the same clip, which is what you would expect of a competitive contest in a state that has not elected a Democrat statewide in decades. Then right-wing influencers invented a story that Talarico had secretly checked into an Ohio psychiatric facility, and the search traffic around the Democrat exploded. The lie collapsed with almost embarrassing speed, and the people who spread it now face potential legal exposure.

But its political purpose was achieved anyway. By the time the story fell apart, the damage had already been done: A candidate’s health had become a national political spectacle, a social media feeding frenzy had swallowed the news cycle and a Republican politician facing serious questions about his own conduct had been handed a convenient distraction.

...

The episode began when Talarico spent nine days off the campaign trail recovering from a bout of the flu. There was never any genuine mystery about his whereabouts. He had appeared virtually at an event in early October to inform attendees that he had come down with the illness. But Paxton saw an opening and used it. The attorney general demanded “proof of life” and set up a tip line for information about his opponent’s whereabouts. He led a “Where is James Talarico?” chant at a rally. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that “James TalaFREAKo” was “MISSING IN ACTION.”

MAGA influencers filled in the innuendo with the cruelest narrative. Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt claimed to have sources who said Talarico was in a psychiatric facility. By Sunday afternoon, the rumor had acquired its supposed smoking gun. Nick Sortor, a conservative influencer known for filming scuffles outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, and Rhein Amacher, a self-described “right-wing provocateur,” claimed that an employee at the Lindner Center of Hope in Mason, Ohio, had confirmed that Talarico was discharged that evening. Sortor posted a short audio clip, and Elon Musk amplified the claim repeatedly from his account. Within hours, the story had spread across X with millions of views. According to the reporting cited in Talarico’s own account of the episode, 50 accounts pushed the claim within 20 minutes and those posts accumulated 9.3 million views. One account posted the same text 83 times in under two hours.
