American Politics from 2019 on
Re: American Politics from 2019 on
I also note that snopes accuses someone of uploading the entire contents of the Biden laptop. Now, are they accusing Zeigler? Polo? A 501c3?
Tough to tell. With snopes being a trusted fact-checker, we'll just have to wait for their ruling.

Election and polls going downhill for Biden. Soon the groups below will refuse to do the poll at all:
https://emersoncollegepolling.com/novem ... ver-biden/Other notable shifts in a comparison of this poll and last year’s national poll include:
From +61 among Black/African American voters in 2022, to +47 in 2023 (a 15-point net shift)
From +14 among Hispanic/Latino voters to +3 (11-point shift)
From +12 among voters under 50 to -1 (13-point shift)
From +18 among four-year college graduates to +2 (16-point shift)

So who do you expect they'll make you vote for?
I don't know which candidate they'll pick, but I'm confident that with Assange out of the picture, they simply won't cheat again.
I'm saying it looks like they are grooming Newsom for it, but expect a last-minute surprise. (Obama? Johnson?)

Not a problem. I see ballot. If I see Trump's name on it, I have to restrain myself from tearing it up. Then I vote for the "not the nazi."

lol awesome!
I will not vote for either. But I haven't been convinced Trump is a nazi. That conspiracy theory must have been out of my usual grazing areas.
At least he didn't fund the Azov gang. Biden DID support those lads, didn't he?

Re: American Politics from 2019 on
Republicans have never been better for the finances of the voter. It was always fear that got them elected.
https://newrepublic.com/article/166274/ ... -democratsEconomic growth? Going back to Franklin Roosevelt, the four presidents who logged the biggest growth in gross domestic product
were, in declining order, the Democrats Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, and Clinton, according to a February New York Times infographic by David Leonhardt and Yaryna Serkez. Three of the four presidents who logged the smallest GDP growth were Republicans. (The exception was Harry Truman. The other three were George Bush père et fils and, in last place, Donald Trump.)
Job creation? The six presidents with the fastest job-growth rate (per Leonhardt and Serkez) were the Democrats Roosevelt, Johnson, Carter, Truman, Kennedy, and Clinton. The four presidents who
logged the slowest job-growth rate were all Republicans (Eisenhower; the two Bushes; and, again in last place, Trump, the only president in the past nine decades to lose more jobs than he created).
The deficit? Democrats are spendthrifts, right? Wrong. President Ronald Reagan inherited from Jimmy Carter a deficit of $78.9 billion, according to Politifact. When he left office, it was $152.6 billion. When his successor, President George H.W. Bush, left office, it was $255 billion.

I just love this horse race before any votes have been made.
Joe Biden Retakes Lead from Donald Trump in Latest National 2024 Poll

Joe Biden Retakes Lead from Donald Trump in Latest National 2024 Poll
President Joe Biden has retaken the lead against his presumptuous 2024 Republican challenger Donald Trump in a new survey.
A Morning Consult Poll released Tuesday showed that Biden with a narrow 43 to 42 percent lead over Trump in a hypothetical 2024 race, with 11 percent of respondents stating they would vote for "someone else" and 5 percent still undecided.
The latest poll of 6,527 registered voters was conducted between November 24 and 26, and arrives after a previous Morning Consult survey conducted between November 18 and 20 revealed Biden was trailing Trump by four points when people were asked who they would vote for in the 2024 race. The four-point lead Biden has managed to claw back from Trump in a matter of days was the largest deficit recorded for the president since Morning Consult began its daily tracking of the White House race in December 2022.

Re: American Politics from 2019 on
Hard facts: the three states Trump won 2016 were less than 1% of the vote there.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... -democratsTo cure Mad Poll Disease, start by making this your mantra: Horserace polling can’t tell us anything we don’t already know before election day about who will win the electoral college. We know it will be close. We know it will be decided by six swing states (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin). Importantly, these states were so close that even the best polls couldn’t call all of them the day before the 2016, 2020 or 2022 elections.
In both 2016 and 2020, the margin of victory in most of them was less than one point. If you had clicked on FiveThirtyEight in June 2022, you would have thought Republicans had a 60% chance of controlling the Senate, in September that Democrats had a 70% chance of holding the Senate, and on election day, that Republican had a 60% chance of flipping it again. But in the real world, Democrats increased their Senate majority.

The right wing has a thumb rule about this, that would serve you well. (they forget it a lot, too)
