Indeed so! The 'sapiens' species name is courtesy of Linnaeus, two hundred & fifty years ago, so he can be forgiven. The second 'sapiens' in the name is supposedly the subspecies. But it's pure bullshit, since there are several human subspecies.
I find Svartalf's new nomenclature the most apposite: Homo stultus insanis. It's what will be engraved on its tombstone.
