The vast majority of art is pointless shite.
But it fulfils the common craving of people to touch something that was once touched by someone famous.
It used to be religious relics. Now it's oil paint daubed on canvas.
But the talk is much the same, about how the object has "presence" and "power".
A bit of scribble by Dali fulfils the same function as the finger bone of the saint.
Pathetic.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
