It is not that bad. It depends what your priorities are. The fight to and from Australia compensated for the horrible stay we had.

Wait, Coulter didn't say that Dao should have been deported because of the issues on the flight. Dao was convicted previously of illegal drug sales from his doctor's office, and trading prescription medications for sex. He had multiple felony drug charges in 2004. So, what Coulter is referring to are grounds to revoke a green card, and then deport someone because they've committed a serious felony while holding the visa.
