I think the item that infuriates 42 and Trump supporters is the power of the government to liquidate banks:

A satirical article from today's Melbourne Age;

Donald J. Trump sits in the Oval Office staring at a television sagging from the wall, its screen peppered with bullet holes. Clumps of freshly torn Cheezels-coloured hair are strewn across the great desk and a mobile phone lies smoking on the carpet.

Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson, late of Big Oil, gingerly pokes his head around the door.

"Hello?" says a slightly panicked voice on the phone.

"Mr President," he ventures. "We appear to have a potential new client across the water. I suggest you congratulate him for doing so well, just in case."

The bloated, sun-lamped face swings towards Tillerson. The eyes are even more vacant than usual and the mouth lolls wide.

"Wha'?" says the President of the United States of America.

"His name is Jeremy Corbyn. Just move your right hand across the desk a little and grab ahold of the telephone receiver, Mr President. We've taken the liberty of placing the call and you'll be patched right through."

Trump jolts to life. The eyes narrow, spittle appears at the corners of his lips and he sweeps his hand through the dishevelled arrangement upon his head, tearing new clumps from it.

"Comey!" he bellows down the phone. "You're fired! What is it you don't get about that? Showboating nut job."

"Sorry?" says a puzzled voice in an accent weird to the President's ears and strange even to a large proportion of the British population.

"Call me a liar, will you? I'm POTUS. Making the FBI great again. Gitmo's still open. I'll have you put in a cage and set out in the sun on an ant heap. Get that organised, Tillers, right away. Call Vladmir and get a few extra ideas about what he'd do."

"Mr President, it's not James Comey. It's Jeremy Corbyn."

"Oh, sure. Fake news. Fake name. Fake evidence. I'm gonna grind you into corn, Comey. Talking of eating, I'm peckish. Get me a bucket of fried chicken, a Big Mac and a meatloaf sandwich, Tillers. I need a snack after watching all those bad, bad lies. Where's my gun?"

"Hello?" says a slightly panicked voice on the phone.

"Sir," says Tillerson. "Jeremy Corbyn is the leader of the British Labour Party and he's caused a great upset in the British election. You're congratulating him."

"What? Why didn't you tell me? Jeremy Corbyn. James Comey! Too many JCs. Don't you know I'm the son of God, Jeremy? Ha, ha."

"Very droll, Mr President. We in the Labour Party are conflicted about the existence of a god, though the natural environment lends me a certain spiritual succour."

"Great. Terrific. I saw a tree once. Chopped it down. Ruined the approach to the third tee. They given you the nuke codes yet?"

"There is no circumstance in which I could imagine I would authorise a nuclear strike, Mr President."

"Yeah, sure. You some kind of pinko libtard, Jeremy? That why your parents called you Jeremy, Jeremy?"

"I beg your pardon! How rude. Donald! Very Disney, really."

"What's happened to your leader? Theresa Whatsit. Strong woman. Oh, yeah. Long legs. Put her on the line, will you?"

There is a clunk and the phone goes dead.

"Loser!" shouts Trump into the mouthpiece.

"You sure that wasn't Comey, Tillers?"

The Secretary of State is nowhere to be seen. The President's firearm has gone with him. Donald Trump gets down on the carpet and retrieves his phone. He hums contentedly to himself as he sits there beneath his desk, composing a tweet.

"This is BIG!" he taps. "Comey's trying to pass himself off as someone called Jeremy. Fake fake fake. Reward. Alive or dead. POTUS"
