What has the European Convention on Human Rights ever done..

Post by PsychoSerenity » Mon Apr 25, 2016 5:38 pm

What has the European Convention on Human Rights ever done for us?
After Theresa May says Britain should leave the European convention on human rights, Patrick Stewart, Adrian Scarborough and Sarah Solemani expose the problems in the Conservative plan for a UK bill of rights.

This is the best thing in politics ever. :{D

We can make our own laws. There is no privilege on wise and just law making simply because a country has a modern history of genocide like Germany and half of Europe. :read:

Hmm. Is that the proposed alternative, or is it just a governing party ploy to redefine our rights in their favour?

If they took out the stupid stuff, the convention would be ok.
It's not the good stuff that's the problem.
We can keep the good bits, and ditch the shit. A lot of the time, it's not the convention that's the problem.
It's the rulings on it by the judges. They make the laws up as they go along.
That's the problem with it.
And our courts know what's coming, and rule in a way that the loony European judges won't throw out.

So just the threat of taking something to Europe is producing shit law in England.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

You cant kick out immigrant criminals and rapists because their rights might be violated if sent home. You can't deport any foreigners except to a handful of countries.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Got any examples?

Hello, Crumple. Say something about that.

Brilliant. Just like Farage or BoJo would rant. Very Monty Python; What did the Romans do for us?
