Obama's final months as president are about Trump. Trump, Obama and Hillary are all now about Trump.

I get the same worry from Clinton. If Putin has to hear her cackling voice through the red phone, he's going to push the button just get some peace and quiet....Svartalf wrote:Let's face it, that businessman has become a threat to national security... Just thinking of him a CinC or too near the atomic codes makes me sick.

Clinton won't play with the nukes, she's too reasonable for that, Frump, on the other hand... might play Kim.

If Hillary won't play with nukes, why did she criticize Obama for ruling out the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Pakistan?Svartalf wrote:Clinton won't play with the nukes, she's too reasonable for that, Frump, on the other hand... might play Kim.
Also, about Iran in April 2008 she warned that the U.S. would “totally obliterate” Iran in retaliation for a nuclear attack on Israel—prompting Obama to chastise her for using “language that’s reflective of George Bush. Sounds pretty hawkish there....
Quotes from Hillary --
“What I said and what I mean is that there will have to be consequences for any violation by Iran and that the nuclear option should not at all be taken off the table. That has been my position consistently.” (ABC News, December 15, 2015)
“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m president, we will attack Iran. In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.” (ABC “Good Morning America.”, quoted by Reuters, April 22, 2008)
Maybe she's lying. We can never tell, can we?

Re: the Donald Threat
For mutually assured destruction too work as a deterrence you need the use of nukes to be a credible threat. Trump would provide this. So in a round about way the world might be safer regarding inter-state nuclear warfare with Trump.

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

Re: the Donald Threat
I saw a headline saying Trump is going to collect a share of Iraq's oil. So non-interventionist.

I like MAD as a doctrine in the use of nukes, I don't want the D part to happen as is too likely with Kim DonaldCrumple wrote:For mutually assured destruction too work as a deterrence you need the use of nukes to be a credible threat. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... ff3c11c3ccBut then came the mail and the emails and the phone calls — first hundreds, then thousands of voters worrying that Trump’s impulsive nature would lead the country into another war.
Hillary Clinton, of course, would not lead the country into another war, despite having led our country into another ward in Libya, supported the War in Iraq, supported war in Syria, threatened war with Iran, and banged the war drums against Russia....
Hillary Clinton threatened to wage war against Russia over cyber security issues this week at the American Legion Convention.
Hillary Clinton stated: “You’ve seen the reports. Russia’s hacked into a lot of things, China’s hacked into a lot of things. Russia even hacked into the Democratic National Committee. Maybe even some state election systems? So we gotta step up our game. Make sure we are well defended and make sure we are able to take the fight to those who go after us. As president I will make it clear that the United States will treat cyber attacks just like any other attack. We will be ready with serious political, economic and military responses.“
Oh, yes - her temperament is soooooo anti-war...
