To sum up Forty Two's attitude to the youth of today:

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!

Yeah.
Not to mention how destructive alcohol is to student grades and mental health. Although, Merkins only drink lite beer, so perhaps it is a good approach.

Ah, the beer nonsense again. We have more varieties of better beer brewed here in the US than in Oz, that's for sure. Like every country in the world, a lower cost, light variety of beer tends to be purchased in large quantities for general consumption. The Brits, for example, constantly harp on about how great their dark beers are, but the most popular beer in the UK is that swill Carling. And in Australia, the most popular beer is probably VB, which is just a standard mass production beer like Budweiser and Coors.
The most popular beers in a country are the lower priced, mild varieties. However, it's not useful to compare the mass production beers to boutique or small brewery style beer.

“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar
