The gunman who killed two people when he open fired into a crowd at a concert in Vorarlberg on Sunday before turning the gun on himself may have been a right-wing extremist, according to media reports.

Several media have named the killer as 27-year-old Gregor S., from Vorarlberg, with some describing him as a right-wing extremist who had been banned from owning weapons for ten years. Police have yet to confirm the shooter's identity or further details about him.

As the Local Austria reported yesterday, two people were killed and eleven were injured when the gunman open fired on a crowd of 150 people attending a concert held by a local motorcycle club in Nenzing in western Austria.

The 27-year-old had reportedly been arguing with a woman in a car park but after the argument had escalated, he fetched a gun from his car and started shooting at the crowd. He then returned to the car and shot himself.

Why "so called"? Why the scare quotes? Why 'America' when in all likelihood you're only speaking about the US of A? Oh, never mind, I know. You have difficulties separating your prejudices from reality.

Anyway, here is my guess about who is responsible for the vast majority of gun deaths in America: Males. The next biggest grouping, though not a vast majority are people who commit suicide, most of who are male. This is followed by poor people, and they are also mostly male.

Even though I could not find the specific mode of homicide by gun broken down by sex, the fact that 90.5% of all homicides were perpetrated by males leaves little room for females to be responsible for much more than 9.5%. Looks like I went over both in the terms you asked for.
