The oil price is now in the TWENTIES of dollars per barrel, and the dive doesn't actually seem to have a floor in sight at the moment. Maybe the sellers have factored in the fact that Iran will soon be selling loads of the stuff with sanctions lifted.
The Russian Ruble is also on the floor, as their main exports are oil and gas based.
Look out for some tightening of the belts by the big spending Russian oil millionaires. There might be some real bargains in the yacht marinas this year.

The recent blizzard in north east US has helped the price bounce a little, to over thirty dollars. Also, the various central banks have indicated that they're likely to do a bit more quantitative easing.

The Saudis are still trying to destroy the US shale-oil industry.
It's WAY past time for the US to put ruinous punitive tariffs on Saudi oil.
The good news is that the export ban for US oil has been lifted so our producers can sell on the international markets as well.
