top shelf whisky is worth the expense, compared with the cheap shit that needs to be mixed to be made drinkable... I expect it might be the same for rum and gin (though I keep mostly cooking rum for grogs and Gordon's for martinis)
same with wine, really good wine is good, bad wine is... well, it's good to get pissed if you have the courage to swallow such stuff...

True, millennials make great drone pilots.

I peg you as a vodka drinker.
Yes and no. I'll drink any old rubbish. But I don't drink anything very often.
Cheap whiskey is as good as anything for me. If it's too harsh, I add ice-cream and chocolate.

But it all tastes much the same to me, so I don't waste money on the high-priced stuff.

See, I'm too uptight to make a post like that, much less even think of adding chocolate syrup to my drink. Horse sweat, pickle brine, or sour cream either. Go figure. :coffee:

I find the high priced whiskies a bit of a let down. They might be slightly better, or slightly worse. Same as the cheap stuff. And I like whiskey with ice-cream and chocolate.
The quality of the ice-cream is much more important than the quality of the whiskey.

I remember liking American Rye whiskey, but it was a long time ago. And the difference was small anyway.
Buy one bottle of whiskey, when you can get four for the same price? Crazy. :ab:

I respectfully am in total disagreement with your appraisal...
