Heh, Cameron can have "respect" when he's fucking earned it. As for Nicola Sturgeon, my advice would be to suggest she gives him a fucking hard kick in the balls for being an arrogant, patronising, chauvinist twat.

Cameron should tell the skirt wearing cunts to do one. They would be bankrupt within a year of going independent and they know it.
We should be MOST skeptical of ideas we like because we are sufficiently skeptical of ideas that we don't like. Penn Jillette.

Since a large part of the oil industry in the UK is based in Scotland, I somehow think not.

Oh, and while we're at it, where does Cameron get off, posturing like fucking Cartman from South Park with his "respect my authority" wankery? About the only way he could have been more offensive to Nicola Sturgeon would have been to say "make me a sandwich, bitch". Someone needs to remind him that here on Planet Earth, Nicola Sturgeon has massive amounts of authority to speak on behalf of the Scottish people, courtesy of the fact that her party has annihilated all opposition in Scotland. Nicola Sturgeon is now poised to become the Chess Queen Of DoomTM with respect to any plans Cameron might have to stick the middle finger to the Scots, and fob them off with some crumbs whilst plotting to enslave Scotland the way he's trying to enslave England to his rich bonus banker chums. She's demonstrated that she has more integrity and popular respect in her fucking toenail clippings, than Cameron wil ever have throughout the whole of his miserable being. Perhaps we should give her a large pin, with which to prick that inflated condom of a head Cameron has.

North sea oil fields set to make a loss on every barrel produced as BP cuts 300 jobs

North Sea oil fields are on the verge of losing money for every barrel they produce, according to a survey of industry forecasters carried out by The Independent.

Future exploration, investment and tens-of-thousands of jobs are all said to now be under threat from falling global oil prices, with up to a third of the North Sea already nearing loss-making territory.

(continued, it is a gamble but you can see Cameron is playing a smart game with Scotland...shut them out before the oil price goes back up, and they'll be begging for the scraps like a beaten dog within a year...)

Which of course is going to backfire spectacularly, if the Scots push for independence, and secure it right as the oil price starts heading for $100 per barrel again.

Assuming Cameron, the clue is in the name, is of Scotch ancestry himself then

Sturgeon has to respect his authority. Because he has power, and she has none, when it comes to any further changes to the status-quo.

She can ask, that's all. She can even demand. But it's all meaningless.

And ironically, Cameron doesn't even have to worry about losing support north of the border.
Because he hasn't got any to lose. And saying no to Sturgeon would GAIN him support, and votes, where there are actually votes that he could gain. In England and Wales.

He obviously doesn't want a fight with the SNP. But if one happens, he really has nothing to lose.

What's the worst that could happen? She demands a new referendum, and he says no. As he would be fully entitled to. Alex Salmond said, after he lost the referendum, that that was that for a generation.

He must be already regretting those words.

Actually, Sturgeon doesn't have much of a hand to play. She already has all the Scottish MPs, and has control of the Scottish Parliament. She has nothing to gain in a fight.
And if she was allowed another referendum, and lost that too, the chance of yet another would be out of the window for the next thirty years.
So she can't afford to demand another, unless she is absolutely certain of winning it.

She has no cards to play. If the opinion polls were showing a huge majority for independence, then she might actually have something to bargain with. Or not. Cameron might be tempted to call her bluff. With the oil price on the floor, the Scots will never vote for independence.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
