There is loads of fracking going on in the US. It's made a huge difference to their economy, and the world oil price. And the ACTUAL problems with it are virtually nil. Compared to the wild accusations.
But even if there were some problems, it would still be worth it.

If you compare it to the conventional oil industry, you had the BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
It didn't stop them from keeping on pumping the oil. Because you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs.

If there's oil and gas in the south of England, they should be getting it out. Every possible bit that they can. Because otherwise, we buy it from Saudi, or Iran, or Russia. It's a lot better for the country if we can get our own.
