Holocaust survivors condemn Israel's Gaza 'genocide'

More than 300 Jewish survivors of the Holocaust and descendants of survivors have issued a public statement condemning Israel's "genocide" of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The statement was released by the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network and was placed as an advertisement in the New York Times.

It calls for the blockade of Gaza to be lifted and Israel to be boycotted.

The signatories expressed alarm at the "colonization of historic Palestine".

It condemns the "racist dehumanisation of Palestinians in Israeli society, which has reached fever pitch".

Do they represent the majority of Holocaust survivors or a small pacifist clique who'd march no matter what was happening or why? No numbers given to determine their strength of support and hence should be classed as dodgy propaganda at least until the reporter digs up the wider picture. For all this talk of death tolls it is clear the balance of deaths would be the other way if the Palestinians could afford better munitions with better guidance systems. That's technical not idealogical shortcomings. Don't believe a one state solution is the answer cos they'd then use their clout as a state to buy such weapons. No answer to the Middle East.

Jewish people generally take more notice of what's happening in Israel, naturally.
So they have better knowledge of what goes on under the radar of the main news headlines.

Anyone taking that sort of notice would be perfectly aware of what is really happening, and that is that the dirty stinking Israelis are working on a long-term strategy of ''cleansing'' the place of Palestinians.

What's happening in Gaza is portrayed as retaliation by the dirty stinking Israelis, and this image is constantly supported and pushed by the media. It's a total fiction. The dirty stinking Israelis WANT trouble in Gaza, it would be a disaster for their long-term policy if the Palestinians stopped resisting.
But they know which buttons to press, to keep the pot boiling.
This is what you never hear, what Israel does in the background. The conditions that the people in Gaza have to live under, the constant eviction and settlement of Palestinian property, and the perfectly obvious fact that Israel has just one aim in mind, to kill them all, or to get them to leave.
If you lived with that knowledge, who wouldn't retaliate, or support those who do.

These Jews know much of that, because they take more notice than you lot, what is happening day to day, and so the picture is pretty clear to them. It's common knowledge to anyone who takes an interest.

And of course, the US government knows all this, and supports it, it's their policy too, and they help all they can.
