I'm all for the guilty getting life. And obviously feel sorry for the bereaved.
29 people were killed, it was the worst tragedy of the NI troubles. People will never forget it.
It makes me think though. A bomb killing 29 would hardly raise an eyebrow, if it happened in Iraq, or Afghanistan. It seems to be a weekly event, in one or the other. And Syria would consider it a quiet day, if that was all that happened.
It just shows what kind of shit we have exported round the world.

They didn't need us to export vicious sectarian violence.
The knowledge of explosives, sure. Their moronic religion is utterly unable to invent anything...

No, but they had reached a reasonable compromise, till we stirred it up.JimC wrote: I was with you till the last sentence.

Those countries will always have corrupt bullying governments. It's an attitude that's pervasive in that part of the world. The best you can hope for, if you live there, is a period of stability.
That's what we fucked up.
And our own moronic religions have created just as much grief over the years. It's only very recently that that seems to be dying out.

A bomb in Nigeria today killed about ninety. That will be a brief headline on today's news.
No chance of it being remembered in fifteen years time. Even though Omagh was less than half as serious.
But at least it proves that we aren't at the root of EVERY bombing.

....and so the story lingers a little longer with a little lower pain threshold on the slow march towards eternity in some places than others. Eternity is long long time, all is fair and forgotten equally in the end....
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?
