Paging Seth...

I'm sure he can dig up a sniper rifle from somewhere...

And there must be an arch-duke floating around somewhere...

It's not such a ridiculous notion.

The west, the US and Europe, are trying to encircle Russia by stealth. The Ukraine is just the latest in a long list of countries on the Russian border that have been recruited.
Whether that's a good thing or not only time will tell.

These countries are far more volatile than the ''old'' European countries.

There have been calls by the hawkish elements in the US to push Georgia and Ukraine into NATO.
If they do that, the world will be HUGELY closer to WW3 than it is now.

It was mutual protection pacts that dragged the world into the last two world wars.
WW2 was pretty inevitable, what with Hitler being in charge.
But WW1 was directly instigated by small volatile countries quarreling over fuck-all.

Bring the Ukraine, or Georgia into NATO, and that's highly likely to happen all over again.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
