It's not even a complaint. It's a "request for investigation."

Mitt Romney just lost the election -- and now, he's about to become the first former candidate ever to be charged with violating federal ethics law.

United Automobile Workers (UAW) and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) are preparing to launch an official lawsuit against Romney for hiding between 15.3 to 111.5 million dollars from the auto industry bailout in his wife Anne’s “blind” trust to conceal the gain and reduce taxes on it.

"The American people have a right to know about Gov. Romney’s potential conflicts of interest, such as the profits his family made from the auto rescue,” the groups said in their official complaint. “It’s time for Gov. Romney to disclose or divest.”

It’s time to expose just how unscrupulous Romney is about making his fortune off the misfortunes of others. Please, support UAW and CREW by calling on Romney to reveal exactly how much he made and continues to make off the auto bailout!

PETITION TO MITT ROMNEY: It’s time to come clean. We demand to know how much money you hid in your wife’s supposed blind trust, and how much you continue to make thanks to the gutting of the auto industry.

Sign the Petition
And please pass it on, thank you.

And Obama might be the first sitting President to be charged for accepting illegal campaign contributions from foreigners. Neither is likely to happen because politicians look after their own as long as it isn't ridiculously blatant.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

and THAT is a major issue with governance around the world except perhaps for China.
Very little long term view beyond the next election. ( or the next quarterly report in the case of short sighted corporations ).

We have a very prosperous city in Mississauga with a strong mayor voted by her peers second best in the world.
She has been elected each year for 34 years now and is in her 90s ( she still skates every day but dropped the hockey games a few years back ).
She has built it from a sleepy suburb to a population of a million plus with superb infrastructure.
She has "tenure" - she gets voted in within 5 minutes each vote cycle tho a bit less, merely 74% last time due to a minor scandal.

Without time to see long term projects to fruition governance becomes problematic and affected in an unhealthy manner by the looming "next election".

There is balance needed between election oversight by the populace to keep politicians honest versus time to do a job properly.
Not sure where that balance arises. Can you imagine any long term national project getting a new set of masters every few years. Chaos.
Could China have "caught up" with elections occurring over the last 30 years and a new mix of controllers each time????

Don't know how to get there but this constant electioning is getting wearisome and that was noted in some of the discussion.....notably with one teary 4 year old.
Oh yeah, I know Mrs. Sausage. It's that place you drive through for about 5 minutes (40 minutes in traffic) on the 401 on your way to down to Bay street. ;)

Seriously though, it seemed nice. I knew a guy that sold weed there. He had an entire freezer full. :bong:

I want to see Romney bawling his eyes out begging for leniency. I want to see him suffer.

I want to see Obama living in a mud hut like the rest of his Kenyan family, but we don't always get what we wish for.

I know these charges started back in August, but were basically ignored. I am volunteering my time and my money (few dollars that I have) to make sure Romney gets prosecuted for profiteering from auto bail out. I want to see him squirm and hopefully in prison.
How about impeaching Obama and trying him for treason, that's my wish.

Or we could all grow up and agree to disagree.

Oh, wait, where would the fun be in that?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Romney has no legal obligation to tell anyone how he made any of his money, blind trust or not. If I were him I'd tell the UAW and CREW to go fuck themselves sideways. Want my financial information? Get a fucking warrant.

The ones that need to be accused and tried for treason are obstructionist Repuglies who instead of governing declared war on Obama for 4 years.
Fucking assholes the lot of them.
You're as whacked in your worldview as they are Seth and you and they got a much needed slap aside the head by your fellow citizens.
To the approval of the rest of the world.
