Man, the idea is to provide some info or reasoning or passion for posting the video. If you are just going to dump videos do it in Crumple's thread.

Ah. Those two were inspired by reading an article in Uncut on Scottish folk music scene in the 60s.

Jansch sort of borrowed Anji. After that he composed on his own.

Get with it granddad!! :D

I admire virtuosity. Always have - but not virtuosity for the sake of it. I have no brand loyalty when it comes to musical genres, I just admire those people who have subsumed their soul in a mastery of their instrument - whether that be Nicolae Neacsu, Gabriella Montaro, or (a current favourite) Kirk Fletcher.

Taraf De Haidouks: The ultimate garage band...

Gabriella Montero: My secret birthday wish...

Kirk Fletcher: Soul food....

Should I feel embarrassed for being able to name the composers Gabriella Montero was humorously imitating with her improv?

Victor Borge was great with his musical slapstick routines, but Dudley Moore was way more creative, and subtle. But why did he hate Beethoven so?

Best song from Gun Club. The best sliding up and down song before Jack Black. Or Morphine. Points for lyric "special ryder."

When it comes to High Society, variations on the original Alphonse Picou clarinet obligato always separate the mousse from the custard. Here, UK-born clarinettist Monty Sunshine burns the recipe book...
