Stones North America 2015 last chance?

Post by Tero » Sat Mar 14, 2015 2:13 am

Tourstart would be May 24th in San Diego, then maybe a stop in LA, June 22nd Milwaukee, July 4th Indianapolis Motor Speedway, July 11 in Buffalo, Red Rocks in Colorado, Pittsburg and NYC. As far as Canada is concerned, there is the possibility of more than one gig, including a festival. And, for most of us very important: there could be a warm-up gig in LA before the tour starts, for example between 10th and 20th of May.

Saw Stones in New Orleans Superdome, 1981, Tattoo You Tour. Opening acts were The Neville Brothers, and George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.

The words, "Last chance?" were used then too... :zilla:

Meh. As far as I'm concerned the Rolling Stones disappeared somewhere between recording Exile on Main Street and Goats head Soup. They were replaced by a bunch of extremely competent pop musicians that looked exactly like the previous team, and were basically into entertaining the crowd for no other reason than to make money. In 2003 they played a concert at a small venue about 800 metres from where I lived at the time, the Enmore theatre (capacity 2200). My youngest sister bought some tickets and offered me one. I thanked her and declined.

Being a moderate Stones fan, this sounds about right to me.

Wrong.
Angie was a classic. Still is. Always will be.

No travel planned. I drove some 200 miles Monday. It seems to be my limit. I was only inspired by getting home that day, no stinky campground or motel.
But as a consolation some Stones are coming. The super deluxe is over 100 dollars but CD of this has all the good stuff

Mick plays guitar. I think the neck is 3/4 size. But the size of his axe does not correlate to his tool. He and Mick Taylor came up with all the parts but it is once again credited to Jagger Richards
