People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

You'll have to pardon my presumption but I think, in their prime, Jethro Tull was the finest rock band ever to bless this Earth.

Solo Anderson from his sadly out-of-print Walk Into Light.

They were amazing in their prime, and Ian is still amazing now.

I'm not sure about the blessed part though. I'm an atheist. :?

It was just a figure of speech :hehe:

Have you kept up with Ian Anderson, Mai? I've no idea what he's up to these days.

Oftentimes the bonus tracks you get on CD releases are not worth much. You can see why they never made the grade the first time around. But that's not the case with Tull. There are great hidden gems like this one that are very exciting once revealed, and you wonder why they'd never seen the light of day in the first place.

"Dark Ages," though...I loved the English Countryside trilogy. I thought this was Tull at their creative peak. "Dark Ages," though, I felt was a little overblown, overlong and cumbersome. It was the only song on Stormwatch I didn't love, and I felt it marred an otherwise perfect album. I was horrified when "A" came out but I could see, judging from this song, that the old style had perhaps run its course. I didn't hate the song or anything. Just thought it wasn't up to the incredibly high standards set by the rest of the album, and the two previous albums.

What a fucking kick-ass song! And I'd completely forgotten about that one. It's from Warchild? That's one of my least favorite Tull albums, though I still like it. But because it's not one of my favorites, I haven't bothered to get it on CD and so haven't heard in in many years.

Dunno - I love medieval music in general, and when it's combined with Tull's artistry I guess I'm not selective too much. :dono:
