The Pope was today knocked down at the start of Christmas mass by a woman who hopped over the barriers. The woman was said to be, "Mentally unstable."

Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.

Funny this is posted just now because I had a hankering to listen to this last night, which I did... then coincidentally when I had my son in the car after that he said he wanted to listen to something, I said OK, and he put on the same song... we had a nice educational lesson on the meaning of the lyrics. 8-)

Great tune, one of my favourites, and I'll always have a fond memory of my fourth-grade teacher playing it in class on a little portable record player, teaching all us kids the words.

Fundy Xian school? But I agree - great song!

Mr Bouquet: I Googled 'Lincoln City F.C.' and was astounded to find a Football Club! Have others been around that long, please?

Yes, it's a great song to sing!

My first date with future better half to be woz at a don McLean concert. Madonna has done some good work, but she can't sing "Pie" properly. Pie is an atheist song. Nothing but irony about dog all the way through.

Britain's oldest surviving brewery is Shepherd Neame, founded 1698.
