Funny this is posted just now because I had a hankering to listen to this last night, which I did... then coincidentally when I had my son in the car after that he said he wanted to listen to something, I said OK, and he put on the same song... we had a nice educational lesson on the meaning of the lyrics. 
Great tune, one of my favourites, and I'll always have a fond memory of my fourth-grade teacher playing it in class on a little portable record player, teaching all us kids the words.
