Ruin a Song with Religion!

Post by Drewish » Fri Jan 06, 2012 7:03 pm

Ever heard a faith shamelessly bastardize a decent song by changing the lyrics to have a religious message? This is the thread to share such atrocities.

The Scottish Parliament only just voted down a motion to build a wicker man especially for this prick.

"What started as a legitimate effort by the townspeople of Salem to identify, capture and kill those who did Satan's bidding quickly deteriorated into a witch hunt" Army Man

I don't pay much attention to such things, but I understand some current trendy musical celebrity mangled Lennon's "Imagine" by changing "No religion too" to "All religion is true" (which doesn't make any sense) on one of those network TV ball-dropping new year's eve shows.
Who needs a signature anyway?

First of all the original song is lame to begin with. Second, are you sure these guys aren't trying to be funny instead of delivering a religious message? If it's a parody it's pretty stupid (these guys did slightly better job) and if they are indeed being serious than it's pathetic.

The dancing is enough to distract me from the lyrics, but not the Yarmulkes.

I hate those things.

If I recall, that's slang for ass in French.
