Dweezil Zappa

Post by Rum » Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:28 am

I always hoped that one day I would see Frank Zappa live when he was still with us. I never made it and of course he has now departed many a year. His son Dweezil has done something a bit surprising and exceptionally good. He has learnt most of his father's music and while not as original as his dad his guitar playing is pretty much as good. He is more than a 'tribute band' too as he does his own stuff as well. Anyway he is on tour and while it may not be Frank, I am going to see him this November when he does The Sage in Gateshead.

Anyone wanna come along? I haven't booked the tickets yet.

Here he is playing Black Napkins.

He be OK. Saw Zappa just once, 1974. Had to hitch hike home.
