PJ Harvey

Being another stellar female artist-multi-instrumentalist, Polly Jean deserves her own thread. Few can do everything themselves: lyrics, music, playing all instruments, arranging and producing, but she can, oh she can all that!

The new album is stunning.

Polly hates to repeat herself musically. Every album is different from the last. i like that in an artist, especially when they can manage that AND produce a gem every time.

On this video you see John Parish, Polly's long-term collaborator, wherever he lays a hand, be it plying (Goldfrap, etc.) or producing (Eeel, etc.) there is this dark, dense sound, and the total thing is nothing short of brilliant. John Parish deserves a thread of his own too.
