I just remembered this fact. I will fight anyone who disagrees!

There is but one god and the six-string was his prophet.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

This was the only thing that made the last episode of Battlestar Gallactica palatable, they hinted that Hendrix was godThe Mad Hatter wrote:There is but one god and the six-string was his prophet.
But everyone knows that anyway.

It will be a permanent source of national shame that he had to leave the US to get his career going.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I love the scene in 'Withnail and I ' where this is played... at least I think it was this.

But the lyrics were just...mostly weird.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

John Lennon wrote "Imagine there's no heaven"
Well Hendrix is up there, and Phil Lynott is on Bass.
Not so easy to imagine now, you tree hugging hippy twat!

Re: Hendrix was a fucking genius!
We used to have this Zappa forum where we kept track of the fate of musicians.
It was always "John Entwistle be jamming up in heaven with Zappa now." Or some such thing. It was funny the first 50 times. Then it got a little routine.

Once again proving the title of this thread factually correct.
