Don't start this shit kthx.
The Pope was today knocked down at the start of Christmas mass by a woman who hopped over the barriers. The woman was said to be, "Mentally unstable."Trolldor wrote:Ahh cardinal Pell. He's like a monkey after a lobotomy and three lines of cocaine.
Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.

Re: The metal thread.
I don't appreciate "metal" and I probably should. As a teenager I loved blues and also Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin etc. The "metal" I've heard just seems to be an imitation of that and nothing sounds original. Am I just being an "Old Fart"? Is there anything worth listening to that I haven't heard better before?

Re: The metal thread.
If you're interested, I'd start with Power Metal, preferably from Scandinavia. It's melodic, really accessible, and really emotional. They write some lovely ballads as well. Check out Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Helloween, and Blind Guardian to start with, those are the essentials.Flora wrote:I don't appreciate "metal" and I probably should. Ballads:
Sonata Arctica - Replica
Nightwish - Eva
Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song
Heavy stuff:
Kamelot - Forever
Sonata Arctica - Full Moon
Nightwish - Amaranth
Enjoy!
