The Stones did an album trashing George Bush in a song or two. It did not go well. Even Neil Young was caught up in some patriotism, backing Bush for a moment.

Ian seems to not remember.
The title track of The Zealot Gene unmistakably references would-be American dictator Donald Trump, with the lines, “The populist with dark appeal / The pandering to hate / Which xenophobic scaremongers / Deliver on the plate.”

Anderson writes in the track notes, “As a song lyric; it sums up, for me, the divisive nature of societal relationships and the extreme views which fuel the fires of hate and prejudice … Perhaps you think you know who I might have been thinking about here but, in reality, there are probably now at least five prominent dictatorial international figures who could fit the bill.”

A touring band. When they graduated to a station wagon, they would take turns sleeping on top of the luggage in the back.

Rush fan in his basement (you can see the gas meter) with his Rush collection

I have the studio albums, all but 2, and I've seen 1 1/2 shows. The half show was in St Louis. I was coming back early from a wedding, and drove to the concert the Sun after flying. I was so worn out and had a work day Mon, I left early, actually half way through the long drum solo. There was no ubering back then.

The full show was date two on their final tour.

My music world friend Jim wrote an autobiography before he died last september. He titled it after this song:
From Jim Pembroke Songbook (Love Kustannus, 1976):

Well, I went to my dear Liza
She said: Sorry, where's your invitation
I said: I'm out here on the pavement,
'cos I could not get a seat at the station.
Oh, but please don't say you're sorry
it don't matter - just my situation

She said: I don't have no need to
waste my time about your disposition
I got things I need to read
and I can't be too concerned
'bout your condition
You will always be a loser; a nobody
It's just your situation.

I said: You know that it ain't easy
for me to come and beg you
my direction
But I lost my one-'way ticket
and I could not get another
at the station.
Oh, but please don't say you're sorry
It don't matter
It's just my situation.
International disaster, gonna be a blaster
Gonna rearrange our lives
International disaster, send for the master
Don't wait to see the white of his eyes
International disaster, international disaster
Price of silver droppin' so do yer Christmas shopping
Before you lose the chance to score (Pembroke)

"tenor squealo"

Another musician, who was making guitar arrangements of Van Halen, said that David Lee Roth's vocals could not written as musical notes. Other than marking two notes with a squiggle going up.

It's more obvious here. I think he is imitating Eddie's popping notes on guitar
