A 1969 concert was released. I have been to the Whisky a Go Go once. Saw The Dickies. Punks.
Frank and associated acts freaking out.

Re: The Frank Zappa thread
Not sure which was the first Universal release, but the Zappa siblings, working with Zappa Trust in bankruptcy and releasing endless 5 disc sets and fancy LP packaging, finally gave in. Universal owns Zappa.
Gail Zappa spent all the Zappa money in the 80s to sue record companies and other people. Zappa funds all went to lawyers. Somewhere there is a building with all the tapes, still operating. The guy working for Zappa family, vaultmeister, is the only one to find the stuff in there.
Washington Post.Diva, the least public of the siblings, is an artist who reads tarot cards on Instagram and is knitting a mile-long scarf that she has named Emilio.
Perhaps most crucially, though, in 2022, the Zappa trust sold Frank’s music catalogue, vault and likeness to Universal, allowing Ahmet to step away from the burden of managing it himself.
The price tag was a reported $30 million — which definitely helped everyone get along better.
Or at least, it was a start.

Re: The Frank Zappa thread
The Beales still continue to sell records. About 50% of the Beatles fans that there will ever be will be dead the next time they release an album.
Zappa similar. True fans get the cds and LPs:
In proper celebration of 50 years of Apostrophe (’), a newly expanded 50th anniversary edition will be released on September 13 via Zappa Records/UMe in a variety of formats, including a six-disc (5CD/1Blu-ray Audio) Super Deluxe Edition that features 75 tracks in total. Produced by Ahmet Zappa and Zappa Vaultmeister Joe Travers, this new, expanded collection titled Apostrophe (’): 50th Anniversary Edition, sports the 2024 remaster of the original album by Bernie Grundman, along with scores of additional session outtakes from The Vault.
I have never been able to import any tracks from CD or blueray. I just have useless Jethro Tull discs I never play, the extra disc in each box.
