Not seminal according to the critics, but it is to me:

Seminal as in totally original sound:

Petra Haden Sings The Who Sell Out - a fascinating creative endeavor to replicate that classic Who album entirely with her voice.

Kate Bush's The Dreaming

Joanna Newsom and her harp and improbably quirky yet beautiful voice.

Björk is unique but her seminal stuff happened long before most had heard of her!

Fair enough. I liked the Sugar Cubes, too. Is Kukl that weird dico-esque stuff she sang when she was a kid?

I sort of think you could put any album of hers here. But Debut was important to me personally.

I think I can easily defend this as the top 10:

Robert Johnson - King of the Delta Blues Singers - without this, there is no Rock n Roll, or Rhythm n Blues.
Elvis - first album - Clearly THE groundbreaker of the 1950s
Zeppelin 1 - THE groundbreaker of the 1960s
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon - new line of music
Metallica - Ride the Lightning - thrash metal invented
Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction - the groundbreaker of the 1980s
The Stones - Beggar's Banquet - The Stone's best album - and, well - it's the Stones.
The Ramones - The Ramones - without the Ramones, there is no punk rock or British punk scene.
Frank Sinatra - Songs for Swingin' Lovers - Frankie, man. He did it his way.
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath - Heavy metal invented - I'm torn between Sabbath and Deep Purple for this slot.
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine - groundbreaker of the 1990s - Rap/Rock kicking the most ass, and influencing all the popular ones, like Korn etc.
