Inhibition, well, you can fly
Out the window to the clear blue sky
It will mess your suit, it will make you cry
It doesn't matter, give me Mumdane pie

Went to see Beat doing King Crimson. They have not played this song in their tour, but the surprize was to get my favorite Adrian Belew song first off:

I put a new rear tire on the bike and immediately ran over a screw. Well, not immediately. I got to take a ride I've been meaning to take for awhile and it was good, and the weather was great--had gone from 80s+ to 60s--saw a lot of bikers out there. It's popular enough to have a little restaurant with a bike only entrance. It's a fun, twisty road.

I can't say enough good things about this album. I love it. Why is it so good?

Local band that made two 45s is having a reunion for one night, where they play a song or two at an event, some 40 years after last gig

Another local band, Wisconsin. This was never on Youtube till I put it up.

I saw Doug in Madison WI about 1990 pushing a stroller with a kid. I recognized him, so I said. We may have had a few other things I asked, hard to remember. Anyway, Doug (now Duke) found a young singer for their grunge sound and Garbage came out. Shirley told Doug she was going to write all the lyrics. The band looked at each other and....said OK.

Still the only famous band from Madison Wisconsin. Cheao Trick survived the first few years by playing all the clubs in Madison.

I have to admit I only ever had one LP, Court of the Crimson King, in the 70s. I was familiar enough with the work up to Red. So I did rediscover the band mostly with Beat. I do have the live albums with Belew and one with Jakko. So I never had Discipline the album. I was able to construct it from all the tracks I have, half live. At the concert by the remaining Crims (Beat) I was standing around at the break, and I came to chat with a kid for a few minutes. He has all the stuff...who knows in what form. But the kid about 15 rated Discipline as a favorite. Often it turns out to be the first one you heawwrd. But no, he insists this is his favorite. It does work pretty well. Sheltering Sky stands out. I always like Tony's tapping work. It has a sort of relaxing effect. "Thela Hun Ginjeet" i was quite familiar with but never could quite make any firm opinion about. It seems they play a tape of the vocals live?
