Not famous over here, or at least I'm just clueless as usual. Wow. What was the source of the friction? Sting's big ego I'm assuming? But I mean, even if Sting had a huge ego, why would Stewart even care? All he had to do was play the drums

Well, from what I can tell, Sting really is pretty insufferable. Hard to travel and work in close proximity with that all the time.
Beyond that, I don't know. But I'm going to check out that article TA posted.

It's funny, I liked The Police but I don't think I ever bought anything by them.

I remember making a cassette from my uncle's copy of Synchronicity - he was my main portal to music as a young teen, and he had very eclectic taste and thousands of LPs, it was great.

He was perfect for the role of Feyd Rautha in Dune!
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.

I can't remember which was the first album I actually bought,
It could have been:
Piece of Mind - Iron Maiden
Synchronicity - The Police
1984 - Van Halen
Eliminator - ZZ Top

I have a classical album that has a good lutenist, but the whole album is ruined for me by one Sting track.
But I really enjoy Zappa's Broadway..the..album, where Mr. Sting appears, Zappa's name for him.

When I got my first stereo I bought three albums - Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland, Steppenwolf Born To Be Wild and the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour. Still have them somewhere.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Pray, do not mock me: I am a very foolish fond old man; And, to deal plainly, I fear I am not in my perfect mind.
Blah blah blah blah blah!
Memo to self: no Lir chocolates.
Life is glorious.

I had two of those, but the Hendrix was just one LP with the UFO cover. I could not afford the nekkid women one. Mine was a 20 dollar collector's item when I sold it. I only have one Beatles album left on LP.
