2012 Concerts?
I probably won't got to any rock concerts. I may have lost enough hearing by now anyway.
Would like to see once:
Hot Tuna (have just seen Jorma solo, twice)
No nearby dates.
Rush will tour N America in fall:

Re: 2012 Concerts?
I'm not planning any big concerts, just Tejas Brothers, Band of Heathens, and Ray Wylie Hubbard over then next couple months.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Re: 2012 Concerts?
I bought a concert ticket package for my favorite outdoor venue. 6 concerts from May through September, all country. Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert! All of their opening acts are fabulous also!! I'm so excited!!

I saw The Darkness and they were awesome. Seen a friend's band (NO) who is picking up speed, a couple times. Don't have any plans, but if the Black Keys or Elvis Costello come to the UK and I have some monies, I'll do what I can

I forgot, I do have one booked, sort of a must as it is probably the 2012 concert event for this back water town: Red Hot Chili Peppers, May.

I don't really go to concerts for lack of someone to go with coinciding with who's playing where and when.

I bought 2 of the ticket packages for the summer concerts I'm attending. You're welcome to my extra ticket for any of the ones you're able to make it to!Bella Fortuna wrote:I don't really go to concerts for lack of someone to go with coinciding with who's playing where and when.
Not very likely, huh?

Re: 2012 Concerts?
Last concert I went to was back in December last year. The one before that was December 2007. Both times I saw the Manics.
Therefore projecting forwards, that means the next concert I go to will be December 2015 - and will be the Manics.

Re: 2012 Concerts?
I don't like most concerts. I find them boring, and overly loud.
I am o.k. with outdoor concerts in an amphitheater with a berm. But, that's generally because the band provides background activity to the socialization among my friends and fellow concert-goers. However, the whole sitting-in-a-seat-half-a-mile-away-from-the-band thing doesn't thrill me.
I may see Jimmy Buffett over at the amphitheater, and we'll probably wind up seeing some jokers over at Universal Studios in Orlando. Beyond that -- meh.

Re: 2012 Concerts?
We have a fantastic outdoor venue here. I see Buttett there every summer! One of my favorites!! I just love hearing live music, so I'm not picky about the venue or the performers! I've never had a bad time at a concert! Shakin' my booty to loud music, good drinks, laughing with friends as we try to sing the lyrics we think we know....good times.Coito ergo sum wrote:I don't like most concerts.
