This homeowner may well have had every right to use lethal force under the Arkansas statutes cited above.

Lesson: Don't enter other people's houses without permission, even if you're trying to help them.
Multiple people lived in the house. Someone called 911.

The NRA that you support has pushed the communication with guns to the extreme. In Florida you may not point a gun and make demands or interrogate your intruder. You have to shoot if you bring up the gun at all.

The amendment does not demand that you shoot guns. It actually demands nothing that NRA has sneakily brought in. It says you can bear arms. For the militia. Or to protect your house by the Heller/SCOTUS mythology. Which ignores the militia.

So what? Any occupant of that household has the right to use force as explained in the law.
The NRA that you support has pushed the communication with guns to the extreme.
Bigoted lying horseshit.

Complete utter lie.
The amendment does not demand that you shoot guns.
Indeed.
It actually demands nothing that NRA has sneakily brought in.
Um, the only "demand" that the 2nd Amendment makes is that neither Congress nor the states, nor any other government official at any level "infringe" on the people's right to keep and bear arms. It does not restrict what "the people" themselves may or may not do, or own, or possess, or carry in public AT ALL.
It says you can bear arms. For the militia.
Right.
Or to protect your house by the Heller/SCOTUS mythology. Which ignores the militia.
Er, no, to protect yourself and the occupants of your house, not your house. And it ain't "mythology" it's a Supreme Court ruling on the meaning of the 2nd Amendment that overturns every other law in the nation that conflicts with either Heller or McDonald.

Oh, and you also have a right to keep and bear arms to protect yourself or others in public or in private, to hunt, to target shoot, to collect or to do any other lawful thing related to the right to keep and bear arms, and no level of government may deny you those rights or even infringe upon them.

The Florida law about not pointing guns is from before the NRA sponsored stand your ground laws. It was never repealed. Abused wives are in jail for shooting but missing the target.

You're completely full of shit. Cite the statute or shut the fuck up.

The "abused wife" you are referring to was arrested because she was NOT in imminent danger at the time she fired a "warning shot".
Alexander pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault for firing a shot in the direction of her husband, Rico Gray, during a 2010 argument while two of his children were also in the house.
It's most certainly NOT against the law to aim a firearm at someone who you reasonably believe is presenting a threat of imminent deadly violence but not shoot them. People do it millions of times a year all over the US and aren't prosecuted. That's the beauty of an armed citizen, he or she can prevent or thwart the attempted crime merely by displaying a firearm and without ever discharging it.

But it IS against the law to "felony menace" someone by aiming a firearm at them, or even by displaying the firearm as a threat or intimidation under circumstances where you are the initial aggressor or the situation is unlikely to result in a legitimate need for self defense, like waving a gun at someone during a road-rage incident where no physical threat is present or pulling a gun over an argument in a bar where no other deadly weapons are being brandished.

Here, I don't have time for more:
It’s rarely simple. “If someone says ‘I’m going to punch you, you son of a bitch,’” Gutmacher said, it’s probably legal to pull out a firearm and say, “‘Don’t try it!’” Still, he said, some prosecutors might consider that aggravated assault.
But “if you actually go and punch me in the nose, and I shoot you,” he said, “I’ve committed manslaughter, because I’ve used excessive force.”
As for warning shots—fired into the air or at the ground—they are a legal no-no. In Florida a warning shot carries a 20-year mandatory minimum sentence

Thank God! I hope you mean that as a permanent state of affairs.

Indeed, given the fact that it is eminently and provably possible for one to be killed or suffer serious bodily harm (like a fractured orbit and damaged eye or broken jaw and lost teeth) by a single punch.
But “if you actually go and punch me in the nose, and I shoot you,” he said, “I’ve committed manslaughter, because I’ve used excessive force.”
That would depend on the exact circumstances and probably on whether or not you were at that moment in reasonable fear that having been punched once, and possibly injured to an extent where deadly force would be authorized, you might be punched or perhaps kicked to death as the attack continued.

Thus, if the guy punches you out of the blue you are CERTAINLY justified in pulling your pistol proactively to deter further assault. If he retreats as a result then you are NOT authorized to shoot him. If, however, he does NOT retreat and acts in a manner that raises a reasonable belief that he's going to CONTINUE the assault, then you are very likely to be fully authorized to shoot and kill him.

As for warning shots—fired into the air or at the ground—they are a legal no-no. In Florida a warning shot carries a 20-year mandatory minimum sentence
Indeed. That's because "warning shots" endanger others and are unnecessary anyway. The production of the firearm itself is plenty of "warning." And in fact in a situation where deadly force is authorized you need not provide any warning at all. "Stop or I'll shoot" is utter nonsense and tactically a very bad idea because you can't talk and shoot at the same time and all you are doing is demonstrating to your assailant that you are indecisive about using deadly force in self defense.

Just draw the gun, aim it and prepare to fire, if you have the leisure to do so. Don't say anything, let the muzzle do the talking. If you don't have the time, draw and shoot. Neither warning shots nor verbal warnings are EVER required prior to the lawful use of deadly force. In fact, let's say that you see a thug threatening a woman with a knife at her throat and you can approach from the rear, silently, and shoot him in the medulla oblongata at an angle that will not allow the round to harm anyone else. You would be perfectly justified in doing exactly that, without warning. Or perhaps you're hunting and you see a thug trying to rape a woman and you have a clear shot from a distance of 100 yards. Go ahead and take it if you want to do so because nothing in the law says you have to warn a criminal and give him a chance to surrender before you shoot him. You don't.

Oregon refuge idiots
They need to go to prison and have their rights to firearms and voting revoked permanently.

They stalked the towns people. They slashed the sheriff's wife's tire. They harassed his parents. When they had a town meeting they and their guns took up strategic positions around the room (implying a willingness to shoot the townspeople). They were violent. They vandalized the refuge and its contents. Twenty or thirty years in prison sounds good to me.

I am an American. I am a veteran. I, like most Americans, worked hard all my life and never asked for special favors. These guys are LEECHES.

"Taxed unfairly"? These people have paid practically nothing to graze their cattle on US land. Let them do what other ranchers do that don't have public land available----feed them themselves. And who gave them the right to invade and take over a federal building? Disgusting.

This is like a gang of bank robbers getting surrounded by Law Enforcement and then saying, 'we'll come out if you drop all charges and let us go.' stupid

The Bundys and their friends have/had legal recourse. They could elect legislators or bring suit in court. They are citizens, not subjects.
The early Americans were subjects without representation in Parliament. They couldn't sue in court. They had NO rights.
See the difference?
All this from using guns to communicate your grievance. Plus one idiot dead, suicide by cop.

Lock up the dad with the shot gun as well
An 11-year-old Tennessee boy will spend the rest of his childhood locked up for killing an 8-year-old girl during a front yard argument over a puppy.

Benjamin Tiller was found guilty Monday of first-degree murder for the October death of little McKayla Dyer. Police said the fifth-grade boy used his dad’s shotgun to kill his neighbor after she innocently refused to let him play with her puppy.

Idiots/poor live in a garage in a neighborhood where bullets routinely fly thru walls
Corrina told KABC that witnesses saw gunmen pull up in a car and start firing toward the house about 7 p.m. Bullets passed through the door of the garage, where the Johnson family lives, and struck 1-year-old Autumn. Her father was unhurt, family members said.

Chicago gun-happy cop kills kid who may or may not have wielded a baseball bat. And accidentally kills a neighbour while he's at it.
And now sues the victim's family for ten million dollars for the "trauma".
Honestly, it's absolutely true.

In Britain, that incident would have read, "police officer threatened with baseball bat"
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
