What is favorite cartridge of yours?

Personally, answer is obvious, is 7.62x39mm cartridge as specified by Mikhail Kalashnikov himself for most dependable instrument of defense, AK-47 rifle. 5.45x39mm quite nice as well but is feel like compromise not needed to be made for me.

So what is favorite cartridge of yours? Perhaps is .22lr for hunt squirrel? Maybe is 5.56x45 like American GI? Maybe is prefer shooting $5 American bills from gun like .338 Lapua Magnum? Not even mentioning of pistol cartridges, so many excellent choices... :smoke:

They ask me what I feel when I have to mow down 100 Russians. The recoil!

Ah yes, is pretending to be of Simo Hayha, Finnish sniper. Perhaps should be favoring 7.62x54r in this case, as most kills was made with Mosin-Nagant rifle & not submachine gun Suomi? Both fine weapons, however!

Not the most portable piece of kit, but the cartridges for this one are usually regarded as up to the task ...

I'm partial to the Austrian 8x56R. Doesn't fit my Lexmark, however.

Is depending entirely on the project contemplated for the projectile to achieve. Thus, all calibers are equally useful depending on the mission.

The .303 is a fine cheese round, but rely on the 180gr .30-06 if you want to bring home the bacon. :biggrin:
