One can say that the balance of risks and harms do not favor allowing good guys to have guns, because more harm comes than good. But the notion that it's a "myth" that good people save lives through the use of guns is false. It is also counterproductive, because if you want gun control, trying to foist it on people through the use of a false narrative is not going to work. It only helps to show your opponents that you're not honest.
