I'm with you, bro. "Scot" is an abominable contraction. Two letters are missing. No, they are not "c" nor "h". They are "r" and "e".
Scott is a surname btw. Only to the illiterate is it a first name.
Let's just turn to facts for a change.
Popularity of the name Scott for Boys
First Year in the Top 1000: 1880 (earliest year for which we have data)
Last Year in the Top 1000: 2006 (latest year for which we have data)

Also, Scott Joplin says you're a racist for denying his existence, and there are well over a thousand people whose first name is Scott who are known well enough to be individually mentioned, complete with occupation, date of birth and usually with photo on this internet list.
Americans cant spell anything right can they.
Until you spell words like they were spelt in Shakespearian times, or before, your assertion can be safely ignored.

Meanwhile you better get used to change. There's more to come.
  • A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling
    -M. J. Shields

For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and Iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.
Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli.
Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.
Usually attributed to Mark Twain, its first known appearance was as part of a letter published by The Economist. It was written by M.J. Shields, who dated it January 16, 1971 and finished it by signing off as M.J. Yilz.

US does not allow study of gun violence

because NRA knows it can only be solved banning guns.

The point about automobile deaths is a good one.
In the 1960s, Congress saw that young people were being killed on our highways at unacceptably high rates and appropriated $200 million annually for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to conduct research that led to safer cars, safer roads and safer drivers. This research has saved more than 350,000 lives, according to NHTSA—and none of this involved confiscating automobiles. It would not take much to restart the CDC’s gun-related research efforts, and such research could yield results that are every bit as impressive.

That could be a good thing, unless you are shooting into a crowd.

Or you're the mythical "good guy with a gun," or worried about someone coming into your house. Kind of want to see what you're shooting at then. :wumbo:

The good guy with a gun: http://abcnews.go.com/US/okla-woman-sho ... d=15285605

One can say that the balance of risks and harms do not favor allowing good guys to have guns, because more harm comes than good. But the notion that it's a "myth" that good people save lives through the use of guns is false. It is also counterproductive, because if you want gun control, trying to foist it on people through the use of a false narrative is not going to work. It only helps to show your opponents that you're not honest.

The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

Back in the day, I fucking loved shooting, whether it be targets, rabbits, foxes, in fact anything introduced to Oz over the last 200 years. Technically, that includes white people... :tea:

Has anything been introduced into Oz that has actually worked. Animals I mean. Are those toads still a big problem in Queensland? Slimy big bastards. The only way to kill them is to put them in the deep freeze apparently.
