Yes, folks. Repent, for the end is nigh upon us!
Maybe we really do need socialism. Socialized movies and entertainment, so the unfair compensation of mediocre actors can be more equitably distributed in a more socially just way. Other than three Bollywood actors (who are advantaged by the racist, caste culture of India), there is one black guy and no women or trans people in the top 20. Other than Tom Cruise, who's in the closet, there doesn't even appear to be a gay guy in there! That's clearly among the largest pay gaps in the world, in any industry. It's the racist, misogynistic, transphobic, capitalist patriarchy! And, it's been hiding there in plain sight all this time!

Re: Only in America
yeah, he is. He was really good in that movie. Pretty much every part in that movie was played brilliantly (it's one of my all time favourite movies). But he keeps playing these American hero parts like the shooter one and the Last Man Standing one, or whatever it was called. They are the same type of rolls and he doesn't really come across as very tough and heroic in them. Not like a Matt Damon or The Rock.Sean Hayden wrote:pErvin wrote:I'm most concerned with how Marky Mark got to be the top paid actor . Aside from being only an average actor, he's not really in that many massive hits. I would have thought someone like Tom Hanks (or Matt Damon) would be paid way above him.
He's excellent in this scene.

Hollywood is too misogynistic for there to be chicks on the list. It's all those left leaning, liberal misogynists, who refuse to pay women as much as men for the same job.Brian Peacock wrote:Where's the chicks?Forty Two wrote:The highest paid actors in the world:

Re: Only in America
In California, a cop accidentally shot himself during a gun training exercise during which no live ammunition was necessary, because no shooting was involved. But he had his gun loaded, anyway. Why? Because dumb things happen wherever there are people. And when there are loaded guns there too (and remember, for safety purposes, all guns are loaded guns), some of the stupid things that happen will end up with people getting shot. By the way, where was the range master in this situation? No weapons inspection before the exercise? Why not? Most likely answer: because we “know what we’re doing.” Ah. You knew what you were doing. But did you actually do it? No. You did not. And now you’re in GunFAIL.
