No it's not. Particularly given cant is an actual word.

By the way, where's the spelling mistake? I can't seem to see it.

My guess is that Scot Dutchy regards the modernisation of spelling as a mistake if done by Americans. Modernisations effected from within the English Islands seem to escape his opprobrium. Or maybe he has not noticed that we no longer use the spellings as they were employed in Shakespearean times.

Here are a the opening lines of Hamlet as they were printed in 1603:

THE
Tragicall Historie of
HAMLET
Prince of Denmarke
By William Shake-speare.
As it hath beene diuerse times acted by his Highnesse ser-
uants in the Cittie of London: as also in the two V-
niuersities of Cambridge and Oxford, and else-where
At London printed for N.L. and Iohn Trundell.
1603.
The Tragicall Historie of
HAMLETPrince of Denmarke.
Enter Two Centinels.
1. STand: who is that?
2. Tis I.
1. O you come most carefully vpon your watch,
2. And if you meete Marcellus and Horatio,
The partners of my watch, bid them make haste.
1. I will: See who goes there.
Enter Horatio and Marcellus.
Hor. Friends to this ground.
Mar. And leegemen to the Dane,
O farewell honest souldier, who hath releeued you?
1. Barnardo hath my place, giue you good night.
Mar. Holla, Barnardo.
2. Say, is Horatio there?
Hor. A peece of him.
2. Welcome Horatio, welcome good Marcellus.
Mar. What hath this thing appear'd againe to night.
2. I haue seene nothing.
Mar. Horatio sayes tis but our fantasie,
And wil not let beliefe take hold of him,
Touching this dreaded sight twice seene by vs,
Therefore I haue intreated him a long with vs
To watch the minutes of this night,
That if againe this apparition come,
He may approoue our eyes, and speake to it.
Hor. Tut, t'will not appeare.
2. Sit downe I pray, and let vs once againe
Assaile your eares that are so fortified,
What we haue two nights seene.
Hor. Wel, sit we downe, and let vs heare Bernardo speake
of this.
2. Last night of al, when yonder starre that's west-
ward from the pole, had made his course to
Illumine that part of heauen. Where now it burnes,
The bell then towling one.

I'm with you, bro. "Scot" is an abominable contraction. Two letters are missing. No, they are not "c" nor "h". They are "r" and "e".

No it is not a contraction. It is a perfectly normal name. Scott is a surname btw. Only to the illiterate is it a first name.
I suppose to an Oz with a tab like pErvinalia whose real name is probably Bruce or Clive it is completely alien.

Also, Scott Joplin says you're a racist for denying his existence, and there are well over a thousand people whose first name is Scott who are known well enough to be individually mentioned, complete with occupation, date of birth and usually with photo on this internet list.

Americans cant spell anything right can they. So they misspell Scott and that makes it right. Like Ozzies using Bruce as a first name. It is a family name but of course using Bruce as a first makes it right?

Scott is a surname but Americans use surnames as first names but it does not make it right.
