That 'one good citizen with a gun' argument from the NRA et al doesn't seem to apply does it? Shouldn't we be commending the guy with the gun for not shooting Rittenhouse, even after he'd fatally discharged his weapon for the second time?

Dunno, if he had discharged his weapon multiple times, he could have been on a mass murthering spree, therefore, the guy who did not shoot him could be charged with failing to protect endangered people...

No doubt in the fine print associated with any ticket for a flight, one agrees to abide by the directives of the airline employees as well as in essence agreeing to be subject to a fine for any infractions. The passenger is a citizen with a citizen's rights, but a citizen who has taken it upon themselves to board a commercial aircraft. In so doing they have (albeit unwittingly) agreed to be subject to certain conditions.

That kind of stuff has a name in contract law (at least in France), we call that leonine clause. After the Aesop tale where the lion associates with a couple herbivores to hunt, and when the hunt is done, takes all the game because, you know, do you want to argue with a violent thug who's stronger than you are?

I don't know how it is your side, but we have laws against such fine print.

This was a difficult case. He was under attack, but he clearly shouldn't have been there in the first place. Unfortunately I don't think a law exists to find him guilty.
