Actually, I guess you could call it 'culture based' because our history has been so bleakly presented, that Historians (reliable ones) are actually challenging the figures of Indigenous deaths as a result of white action. Most of the time, BlackArmband Historians haven't used any sources at all, and reluctantly a lot of people have had to come out and say "Well hold on a minute".
