I'm not sure if he's driving at anything other than to lead us to the conclusion that Mother Theresa was suffering continuously from "that time of the month" for her last 40 years. Admittedly, that would go some way to explain why her hospices were chronically short of clean rags to dress her victims' festering sores with.
